Springwatch

Sunday 7th June

Stanmer Park

   Now in its 4th year, this popular family event aims to celebrate wildlife diversity with plenty of stalls, demonstrations and workshops to entertain and inform us about wildlife friendly life styles. The garden theme this year is “Grow Your Own” so look out for lots of demonstration garden “allotments” including one from BHOGG.

Bunting Making Day

Sunday 28th June

BHOGG Allotment, Weald Allotments, Hove

11-3pm

   Come down to the BHOGG allotment and help us make some bunting for Open Day. We will have a couple of hand-powered sewing machines but unless anyone has a solar iron (?) please iron any fabrics that you can bring beforehand. This workshop will be relocated if it is raining – text Helen 07718 759072 for last minute info if the weather is doubtful.

Tea and biscuits provided. (see map on allotment page)

Cafe Fuchsia serving organic, fairtrade teas, snacks and homemade cakes all afternoon.

Bug Hunting with Dave Bangs.

Kids workshop 'Build a Big Bug!' in willow and paper.

'The Hilarious Vegetable Show' - Do your vegetables make you laugh? Bring them along and share the joke! Prizes for the funniest. Judging at 4pm.

Park in Hollingbury Golf Course car park, or come up from Golf Drive in Hollingdean opposite the top of Stanmer Villas.

Bring food and drink to share, and there's a big shed if it’s cold or wet.
