About Us

Founded in 2001, our group exists to encourage and support organic gardeners in the local communities of Brighton and Hove. We are a not-for-profit community organisation run entirely by volunteers and funded by membership fees and a small grant from Brighton and Hove City Council.

We organise a variety of events throughout the year including garden visits, workshops, plant swaps and seasonal celebrations. All these create opportunities for like-minded people to gather together and share their passion for organic gardening.

We produce a quarterly newsletter which aims to promote gardening related events and projects that are happening across the city. The newsletter also reports on activities that the group have been involved with and details our forthcoming events.

BHOGG membership offers free access to most of our events, discounts on group orders of organic composts and fertilisers, a copy of each newsletter in the post, opportunities to volunteers on our group allotment and priority bookings and discounts on all our trips and workshops.
