Most of our meetings are open to all except where stated. The Phoenix Community Centre has access for wheelchair users.

Practical session; how to do it: setting out sensible strategies and manageable maintenance, plot preparation and planning, seed sowing, pricking out and potting on; stuff to take home - seeds and seedlings free, fertilisers to buy at cost. Don’t miss this fun-filled workshop if you are new to gardening. Always something to learn if you are an old hand. We cover theory and practice of organic gardening

Friday April 16th “A Talk about Permaculture”

Frances Ocean takes us for a whistle stop tour through four permaculture projects and looks at ways to build sustainable communities in a time of climate change.

Sunday May 9th “Seedling Swap and Picnic”

The return of our ever-popular plant swap on Alan’s allotment on the Weald site in Hove. Grow a few extra seedlings and bring them along to swap. Nobody seems to go home empty handed from this one. Donations of picnic food to share also welcome. BHOGG members only please for this one.
